Valentia Technologies has warmly welcomed the inclusion by ProCare PHO of Valentia’s population health platform, indici, in ProCare’s final selection round for a network recommended PMS.
ProCare’s announcement comes after a comprehensive review process, led by a Steering Group made up of GPs, practice nurses and practice managers from their network. Included in the review was a test lab which was open to network members and featured indici, Epic and Profile - the three systems taken through to the lab out of seven systems initially evaluated at the start of the review process.
ProCare has informed its members that it will now enter a commercial and due diligence phase focused on indici and Epic ahead of making a final recommendation in October. Important considerations for ProCare will be ensuring that the recommended system will deliver substantial improvements in efficiency and safety of clinical care, provide enhanced patient engagement capabilities and represent the best deal for member practices in terms of value.
Developed by Valentia in close collaboration with Midlands PHO, indici has been designed as a cloud-based integrated electronic shared health record that underpins and connects the provision of healthcare across the New Zealand health ecosystem. indici comprises a sophisticated practice management toolkit, flexible workflow configuration for specialist services, an inbuilt SNOMED CT server, a patient portal and App, and multiple interfaces with supporting entities, including NHI, NES, NIR, NZF, ACC, eSAM, Medi-Map, Healthpoint, and Healthlink.
Welcoming ProCare’s announcement, Valentia’s President – Technical Services, Dr Ahmed Javad, said: “We are delighted at ProCare’s decision to include indici in its final due diligence phase of the review for a recommended PMS for its network. As a New Zealand-developed system, Valentia is proud of the rapidly-growing reputation of indici throughout the primary care sector nationally. We are very conscious of the important role which ProCare plays in the sector and we look forward to actively participating in all aspects of ProCare’s review process between indici and Epic.”
